Butterfly Garden at the Natural History Museum

I love butterfly gardens/houses. Here are some photos from the Smithsonian Butterfly Garden at the Natural History Museum. I really liked this one because most of the butterflies were from Africa and South America, so there were species I hadn't seen before.

  2. Beautiful pictures! Is it an enclosed garden or open air? I went to an enclosed one in Niagara Falls on my honeymoon. It was so cool! My husband even got a picture of one that landed on me. :)

  3. This is enclosed. Actually a greenhouse inside the museum.

  4. We are going to a butterfly garden tomorrow at Strong Museum in Rochester, NY. Last time I went, it was so easy to get pictures like these. You are surrounded by thousands of butterflies --- it's a dream!

  6. These are beautiful, I love butterflies. These ones remind me of some vintage looking butterfly stickers I bought at a craft store. Lovely. :)
