52 Photos Project: Hearts

, originally uploaded by Scarlett Design.

For this weeks 52 Photos Project, I took an instagram photo of a small doily I crocheted a few weeks ago, to decorate my house for Valentines Day. I like Valentines crafting, I think because the house always feels so empty after Ive taken down the Christmas decorations, and of course all the pretty pinks and reds add some nice color in the winter.

  1. You are very talented. I can't crochet a square. I can't imagine a heart shape. So pretty.

  2. Oh this is lovely! I've just started knitting so I can really appreciate the intricacy of this heart.

  3. That is SO cool. I have never seen that! I knit...a very little....and crochet still seems like a foreign thing to me - my dream is to make a beautiful granny square afghan in homage to my Grammie....so I am always amazed by crochet...was this hard to do??

    1. Thank you! No it wasn't difficult, only a little more complicated than a granny square. Just like with knitting, once you learn the basic stitches you build upon that with more advanced projects. Besides, it's just yarn, if it doesn't work you can always unravel and start over!
