Mini Road Trip

Earlier this week I took a mini road trip, up to the Williamsburg and Newport News area, only about an hour away from me. It was a great day, and Chewie and Panzer were amazingly cooperative.
One of the places I stopped was Newport News Park. I had driven by it in the past, but never had the chance to get out and explore. Its a large beautiful park, with hiking trails through wooded and swampy areas, and even a small arboretum and Japanese garden. I definitely plan to go back and do some more hiking and photography here.
And best of all, when the day was over I was close enough to drive home and sleep in my own bed!
